Website Branding

Honestly I was a little stuck trying to think of a way to brand myself, I’m not sure if this was due to the simple fact that I’m not 100% where I want to focus my career or because I was stuck on how to start. I research a lot into branding and how you should go about it and what you need to think about and decided to create a kind of brand book but include research and ideas that I picked up along the way so I was able to look back and change my ideas or style but then still be able to have my original plan to look back at. A brand book is important because they help put together on paper and convey a brand’s values, attributes and personality all in one place. Essentially it makes it easier to see the overall identity and have a key chart to make sure you are all in check with colour, font etc. I decided pretty early on that instead of branding myself, I would create a brand that was me, I think with the work I would like to do in communications and also the talent management side of my career I would like to move into this would be a good start, almost creating my own separate entity and managing it as I would a client.

My London Internship

So hi everyone, its been quite a while since I posted anything on here. Since I'm now back in Plymouth buckling down to get all of my work ready for Uni hand in in a few weeks I haven't had a chance to put up anything on my experience of London and the Internship I did. So instead of boring you with a long written post, I thought I would do a kind of photo diary!

I was in London for a little over 3 and a half weeks, I had a great time and met so many interesting people. My Internship was with Coffin on Cake a Fashion PR agency based in Shoreditch! I know right! I was one lucky bug! Shopping was always on the agenda at lunch! Lucky for me there were two other interns there that I got to know well.

One thing about London I didn't realise until a few days into my internship that wherever you are commuting from will take longer than you actually think it will! The tube will be packed on your way to and from work and also its it quite expensive for a penny tight student!

Below are some photos of the showroom and the office I worked in most days! I love that fact that these displays were every changing and there was always something new to see! Plus its always so cheery and colourful!

This particular set up in the office on the main desk as you enter into the building was always my favourite, this changed every Monday and it was our job as interns to bring in a theme, as you can see purple, pink and pastels was the theme for this week!

Itsu was my go to for lunch, always having something yummy hot or and it was just a little walk from the office so got me pumped for the afternoon with a brisk walk back!
The Interns helped our Social Media manger put together invites and coordinate send outs for the Cat Walala launch, this was great fun, although very time consuming everything was hand cut and stuck and printed!

I just had to take a picture of this, we sent out some gifting to CARA DELEVINGNE!!

All in All I had a great time and have so many photos and memories and I also learnt so much from the team there!
